Everyone loves a good list. Just like every surfer loves a good burrito. So the crew over at the Inertia have compiled a list of the 10 best post surf burritos of SoCal. But before we dive into the list over at The Inertia, after a quick glance we noticed a few missing burrito joints that should have made the list.

1. Corrales

795 E Thompson Blvd, Ventura, CA 93001

We’ve eaten here after surfing more times than not. Its a go to and to us, the epitome of the post surf burrito. This small mexican food heaven is where most local surfers grab their post surf burrito. Its only a few minutes away from C Street and multiple other spots that shall not be named. After chowing on one of the best burritos you’ll ever have, walk across the street to Homegrown Surf Shop (owned and operated by Walter Winters, a born and bred surfer who prides himself and his shop on being local. Even to the point he has 805 tattooed on him) and check out what the local surf scene has to offer.

2. Bear Flag Fish Company

3421 Via Lido Newport Beach Ca

While this isn’t technically a “burrito spot” their Bear Flag Burrito is pretty strong. This is the call if you’re a bit of a healthier eater. Its lighter than a hearty bean and cheese burrito with its grilled fish of the day, rice, black beans, avocado, lettuce, pico and “tommy sauce” but just as tasty.

3. Mozy Cafe

698 N Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas, CA

Located in the sleepy SoCal surf town of Encinitas is the all natural, good vibes, great food joint Mozy Cafe. Its one of Machado’s favorite burrito joints as well as other pro surfers when stopping through town. Similar to Bear Flag, this isn’t the place if you’re looking for a greasy gut bomb burrito but rather a healthy wholesome burrito to top you off for the afternoon session.
